With clean air as a top priority, Yusen Terminals is actively transitioning all of its container handling equipment to create a zero-emission facility.  The 2017 Clean Air Action Plan update set an ambitious goal to make the entire San Pedro Bay Port Complex zero-emission by 2030.

Yusen is partnering with key organizations like Kalmar, Paceco, Taylor and Toyota to develop, test and implement zero-emission container handling equipment through the terminal and also to secure and build the infrastructure needed to support it. Numerous projects are underway, testing both electric and hydrogen fuel cell solutions.
